Low Voltage Servo Motors
Servo motors controlled by a low voltage driver
Low Voltage is available for our Solid shaft, Hollow Shaft and Internal Coupling Motors.
The electrification of mobile machinery is a prerequisite for industries and society at large to reduce carbon emissions. Electrification not only reduces fuel consumption, but also offers significant driveability and application benefits.
In addition, there is a strong movement among both public authorities and private companies procuring jobs to be performed by work machines. This means that they will be either fully electric or at least hybrid powered, replacing the fuel engine or hydraulic power unit or supplement it by an electric motor.
HDD Sweden provides low voltage motors, 48V, for AGV’s and other battery supported vehicles. For these applications low voltage servo drives are used. They are sometimes, a bit incorrectly, called DC servo drives.
The HDD low voltage servomotors are built with the same technology as our traditional AC servomotors. However, they have a coarser winding to cope the higher currents when controlled by a low voltage servo drive. Suitable for battery operated applications such as AGVs, robotics, mobile machinery and other applications traditionally using DC servo motors.
