Servo Motor Options
HDD modular design system enables a very high level of flexibility and adaptation options. Our engineers work closely with manufacturing staff in the same facilities in Sweden and will be able to quickly adjust and alter any servo motor to your needs. Noting is impossible. Get in touch!
Feedback: Encoders & Resolvers
Our motors can be configured with many different feedback options.
As standard with resolver, Endat or Hiperface.
Additional encoder options are continuously added, which allows for integration with most servo drives on the market.
Connector Pin-Outs
Our motors can be equipped with different connectors with pinnings that fit standard cables of many major manufacturers of electronic drives.
HDD does not manufacture power electronics itself.
Currently connector pin-out suitable for power electronics from the following manufacturers are supported, see the datasheet below.
Receptable Options for 09-frame motors
The 09-series (92*92mm frame/flange)
Receptable Options for 14-frame motors
The 14-series (140*140mm frame/flange).
Thermistors & Temperature Protection
The protection consists of three PTC thermistors in series one for each phase.
Bellow Couplings 09-series Motors
Two types of couplings are presently available, all using metal bellows.
There are two bellow lengths that accommodate run-outs of 0.2 and 0.3 mm respectively. Both have a stiffness of approx. 9 kNm/rad.
The CBE model uses an expanding shaft. The standard diameter of the expanding shaft is 16f7; other shafts available on request.
The CBC model uses a single screw to clamp around the machine shaft. It can be delivered to fit shafts from ø5 to ø20 mm for ICM09 and up to ø25 for ICM14.
Bellow Couplings 14-series Motors
Two types of couplings are presently available, all using metal bellows.
There are two bellow lengths that accommodate run-outs of 0.2 and 0.3 mm respectively. Both lengths have a stiffness of approx. 9 kNm/rad.
The CBC model uses a single screw to clamp around the machine shaft. It can be delivered to fit shafts from ø5 to ø20 mm for ICM09 and up to ø25 for ICM14.

CABLING
As standard, HDD motors are equipped with connectors for power and feedback. We can also supply fixed cables and for some encoder types, power and feedback in a common single cable. Of course, we also provide cables according to customer requirements, on request.
STATOR LENGTHS
At its core all HDD servo motors are built with a stator in a certain length. The HDD motor type E and type J being the shortest type N the middle and type Q and type S the longer versions.
SERVO DRIVES
Servo drives are generally used to control the speed, position and torque of brushless servo motors. HDD servo motors integrates with the majority of all of servo drives on the market. Together via our partners Infranor & Nordic Servo we can also offer servo drives in a variety of sizes that are suitable for static and mobile applications across many industries including: Industrial automation, AGV’s and robotics.
