HDD has helped Husqvarna Construction Equipment launch the Prime series, converting previously hydraulic tools to electric drive. The reduction in weight means that what used to be a two-man job can now be done by just one man and this reduces the cost of construction with approximately the same.
To provide the worker with the same power as with the hydraulic tool, HDD developed a motor using its patented oil and water-cooling system. The result is a motor delivering 6kW of power at 9000rpm having a weight of only 3,3 kg. The power-to-weight ratio is unmatched.
