HDD joined forces with ABB and Güdel in an EU funded project to develop a robotic arm for use in small and medium sized companies. HDD was selected to supply the wrist motor.
The direct driven motor that we developed has three times higher continuous power to mass ratio when compared to existing gear motors on the market. ABB called the motor a “Revolution in Robotics”.
